The Energy Policy Group (EPG), a Romanian think-tank specializing in energy policy, is organizing on March 13, 2019 the second edition of the Romanian International Natural Gas Conference, in Bucharest at the Central University Library Carol I – Aula Magna. The conference will address the long-term prospects of the natural gas sector in Romania and the region. In organizing the event, EPG partners with IOGP (International Association of Oil and Gas Producers), FPPG (the Romanian Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation) and ACUE (Romanian Federation of Associations of Energy Utility Companies).
The conference is a high-level event bringing together a wide range of stakeholders from the Member States’ governments, the industry, consumer associations and research institutes representatives to discuss the role of natural gas as a fuel in the ongoing energy transition as well as outline the gas industry’s projects focusing on innovative gas technologies and highlight the vantage points of gas value to security of supply, economic competitiveness and environmental sustainability.
The conference will be attended by representatives of the Romanian Government, Parliament and the energy regulator, as well as the companies and industry associations, as well as of consumer associations, think-tanks and academia.
